A baby dedication is a ceremony in which a child that is between the ages of 1-11 months old is anointed and prayers are made for God's blessings, favors, and protection to be upon the life of the child. The purpose of a baby dedication is for the parent(s), guardian(s), godparent(s) (if any), and participating family members to be charged to make a vow publicly to teach and train the child in the ways of God. This means that all that are ceremonially involved are accepting the responsibility of being godly examples and teachers of God's principles in accordance with His Word (The Holy Bible) as well as His will for the child's life.

If and when selecting a godparent(s) for a child, we highly encourage that the parent(s) be wise in their selections, as the godparent(s) will be responsible for upholding the same standards.
